How to Use Google Calendar with AgentCLiQ
Connect Google Calendar to schedule meetings, block review time, and create follow-up holds directly from your AI agent workflows.

Overview
AgentCLiQ connects to Google Calendar through Google OAuth 2.0, enabling your AI agents to create calendar events as part of their workflows. When an agent needs to schedule a meeting, block time for a task, or create a follow-up reminder, it can place the event directly on your Google Calendar without you leaving the platform.
Schedule Events from Agent Tasks
Any agent can create a calendar event using the Schedule Event objective type. The agent drafts the event details (title, duration, description) based on your prompt, and you review and approve before it lands on your calendar.
How to use it:
- Create a task on any agent
- Select "Schedule Event" as the objective type
- On the Calendar Event step, configure:
- Calendar: Pick which Google Calendar to use (primary or any shared calendar)
- Event title: Set or let the agent generate a title
- Duration: Choose from preset options (15 min, 30 min, 45 min, 1 hr, 2 hr)
- Write your prompt describing what the event should be about
- The agent generates the event details
- On approval, the event is created on your Google Calendar
Example use cases:
- "Schedule a 30-minute discovery call with the prospect from our latest research"
- "Block 1 hour for reviewing the quarterly pipeline report"
- "Create a follow-up meeting with the Acme Corp team for next week"
Calendar Picker
AgentCLiQ provides a calendar picker that lists all calendars from your connected Google account. You can see:
- Calendar name
- Whether it is your primary calendar
- Your access role (owner, writer, reader)
Only calendars where you have write access are available for event creation.
Automation Rule Scheduling
Automation rules can create calendar events as an action. When a condition triggers, the rule can automatically create a calendar event.
Example automations:
- When Email Classifier detects a "Direct Meeting Request" reply, create a 30-minute calendar hold
- When a research task completes for a high-priority prospect, schedule a review session
- When a weekly report generates, block time on the calendar to review it
Recurring Task Schedules
Google Calendar also serves as a trigger mechanism. Agent tasks and research schedules can be configured to run on a recurring schedule (daily, weekly, monthly).
How it works:
- On any agent, configure a recurring schedule in the Automations tab
- Set frequency (daily, weekly, specific days) and time
- The system executes the task automatically at the scheduled time
- Results are delivered to your configured output destination (Slack, Google Sheets, email)

Permissions
- Full read/write access to Google Calendar (list calendars, create events)
AgentCLiQ lists your calendars and creates events on approval. It does not read, modify, or delete existing events. You can revoke access anytime from Settings > Integrations.
Limitations
- Event creation only. AgentCLiQ does not currently read, modify, or delete existing calendar events.
- No attendee management yet. Events are created on your calendar without adding external attendees. Attendee invitations are on the roadmap.
- No time slot detection. The agent does not check your existing calendar for conflicts before suggesting a time. Time-aware scheduling is planned.
- Recurring event creation is not yet supported as a single event type. Use automation rules with schedule triggers instead.
